Yantra Support

Your second brain — captured and searched on your device.

Getting started

Yantra is “bring your own key”: you connect your own AI accounts, so there’s no subscription and your data stays on your device.

  1. Get an Anthropic API key at console.anthropic.com (this is required; it needs prepaid credits — a Claude Max plan does not include API access).
  2. Open Yantra → Settings and paste your key. Tap Test connection to confirm it works, then Save.
  3. Optionally add a Deepgram key (speaker-labeled meetings, higher-accuracy voice) or a Sarvamkey (Hindi/Indic speech & translation).

What runs where

Capture, transcription, embeddings, search, and calendar all run on-device and free. Chat with your notes, link summaries, image descriptions, and meeting notes call the AI provider you configured, directly from your device with your own key.

Common questions

“Test connection” says 401. The Anthropic key was rejected — re-check it in Settings, and make sure your Anthropic account has prepaid credits.

Voice notes aren’t transcribing. Make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are enabled in iOS Settings → Yantra.

My calendar / Google Calendar isn’t showing. Yantra shows only the accounts you’ve added to iOS Settings → Calendar → Accounts. Add your Google account there, then pick it in Yantra → Settings → Calendar.

Backing up. Settings → Export all notes saves everything (including audio and images) to one file you can keep in Files or iCloud Drive and restore later.
